Step 1 – Parent Information Evening

The Admission Process begins mid November with our Parent Information Evening for all prospective parents. This evening is all about helping parents make an informed decision about the best place to send their daughters.

The program includes an address from our Menahel, Rabbi Yitzchak Feigenbaum, principals, an Alumni, a current student, as well as from a selection of teachers from our esteemed staff. Prospective parents have the opportunity to tour the school and all of its many resources.

Step 2 – TBY Visiting Day

The next step is our TBY Visiting Day for girls in grade 8 which takes place in December. All prospective girls’ elementary schools were contacted and given a Permission Form for their parents’ signature. This form has the Visiting Day date for the school as well as other pertinent information. Visiting Day is a great opportunity for the girls to experience “a day in the life of a Tiferes girl”. They have the opportunity to meet the faculty, student body, sample some classes and ask questions about Tiferes Bais Yaakov.

Step 3 – Entrance Exam

On Sunday, December 18th,  2016 the Entrance Exam will be administered at Tiferes Bais Yaakov for all girls who would like to apply. This is a basic skills test that does not require study or preparation. This is a prerequisite for consideration to be accepted into the school.

Step 4 – Application

After the exam, parents of prospective students should be sure to fill out an Application. The deadline for submission of all applications is on December 20th, 2016. If you need an application, please contact the school at 416.785.4044 and we will be happy to send one to you.

At any point during the process, parents are welcome to call the school and make an appointment to meet with Rabbi Feigenbaum about any issues, concerns or questions they may have.

Step 5 – Interview

After Tiferes Bais Yaakov has received your application and all supporting information you will be contacted by the school office to set up a time for the prospective student and her parents to come in for an interview with our Menahel, Rabbi Yitzchak Feigenbaum.  This personal interview allows us to get to know you individually and to answer any further questions.

Step 6 – Letters of Acceptance

Following the interview, the Admissions Committee will review the application. Letters of Acceptance will be mailed out in February.

The admissions process is designed to allow you to get to know Tiferes Bais Yaakov and make an informed decision based on first-hand experience.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school at 416-785-4044
